The Virginia Nurses Association (VNA) and Virginia Nurses Foundation (VNF), the largest professional membership organization and foundation representing nurses in Virginia, seek an innovative and visionary leader to serve as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This full-time role offers the opportunity to guide a highly respected organization known for its leadership in advocacy, professional development, and member engagement. The CEO will provide strategic direction to ensure VNA and VNF remain leaders in the nursing profession, advancing their missions and fostering a statewide and national presence.

The CEO will oversee robust professional development programming and lead a collaborative team of six full-time professionals and several external contractors. Serving as the primary liaison to the boards of VNA and VNF, the CEO will ensure organizational sustainability and operational efficiency. An unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is essential, as is the ability to cultivate partnerships that amplify the organization’s impact on the nursing and healthcare communities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of progressive leadership in professional associations, nonprofits, or related fields. Strong financial acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, and experience supporting boards of directors are required. Candidates must demonstrate a statewide or national presence and the ability to lead with vision and integrity while empowering a high-performing team.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
