Job Summary
The Department of Natural Sciences in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters is seeking a LEO Lecturer I in the Earth and Environment Discipline, to teach two courses, ESCI 440 Advanced GIS and ESCI 485/585 Spatial Analysis & GIS in the Winter 2025 semester which begins on January 6, 2025, and ends on April 18, 2025. Contractual full-time rate per term is $25,500; term salary is prorated to the number of sections taught and course effort percentage. Based on performance and enrollment, Lecturer may be re-appointed for the Fall 2025 term. The expected effort of this appointment is 66.6%.
Desired Qualifications*
Prospective candidates should minimally possess a graduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as: GIS, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or Biology. Relevant work and teaching experience in the GIS field is desirable. Strong communication skills are needed. Previous teaching experience and professional experience in the environmental field is preferred.
