We are looking for librarians who share a strong commitment to social and racial justice and who use or are inspired to use anti-racist pedagogies that close equity gaps by recognizing, understanding, and respecting the perspectives of all students.

The DVC Library is seeking a visionary, equity-minded and collaborative Collections Librarian to join our dynamic library team. This full-time faculty position will play a critical role in developing and managing the library’s print and electronic resources collections, ensuring they align with DVC’s mission, vision, and values. The Collections Librarian will lead efforts to curate a diverse and inclusive collection that supports the educational needs of students, faculty, and staff, both in physical and virtual spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a strategic vision for collection development that not only supports instructional programs but also advances the college’s commitment to equity and student success.
In addition, the Collections Librarian will engage in all the key responsibilities of faculty librarians including information literacy instruction, reference, college governance, and departmental liaison work.

- Develop, maintain, and oversee a diverse and inclusive collection of print and electronic resources, including books, scholarly databases, and streaming media, to support DVC’s academic programs and align with the college’s strategic goals

The position will engage in a full range of reference, library instruction, collection management and outreach activities. In addition to contractual duties, all faculty are expected to participate actively in their disciplines, department activities, and the general intellectual life and governance of the college.
