Assist with clerical tasks in the office and setting up events and meetings hosted by the Career & Transfer Center (CTC).
Required Qualifications
- Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes
- Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of general office equipment, including copier, fax machine, and multi-line telephone
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Data entry experience
Essential Functions
- Help with the upkeep of job boards and the database of employers reaching out to the CTC office for hiring
- Assist with event set-up for Career Success Conference, Career Fair, Transfer Fair, and other meetings or events hosted by the CTC
- Help with outreach to students, MC Employees, and the community
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- The person in this position needs to move to other locations on campus occasionally
- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
- Use of manual dexterity
- The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
- Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 25 pounds
- Duties indoors and some outdoors
- Ability to work extended hours and attend Midland College or community events
