Position Summary
The party host is responsible for the day-of oversight of birthday parties and other youth events. The host's primary responsibility is to ensure the event space is open and ready, greet the client and be available to assist the client as needed during the event.
Essential Functions
- Unlock the party space and arrange the equipment, tables & chairs as requested.
- Assist the party client with set-up, as requested.
- Greet party attendees and ensure any required forms are completed
- Review the event schedule and provide support as requested
- Periodically check-in with the client
- Take care of any injuries, incidents or messes, contacting the appropriate individuals and completing forms, if necessary
- Ensure the party ends on time and perform clean-up duties as instructed.
Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Prior customer service or party experience preferred.
- Prior experience leading games and activities with children preferred.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers of various ages.
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Must possess sound judgment
Experience
