Functions and Responsibilities
Job Summary
Under the Director of the Enrollment Services/Registrar or designee, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services is responsible for the effective management of Banner registration processes and Enrollment Services operations.
Supervisory Role
Oral and written instructions are received from the Director of the Enrollment Services/Registrar, or designee. The Assistant Director of Enrollment Services may supervise professional staff, support staff, part-time workers, and student workers.
Duties & Responsibilities
1.Performs a variety of duties involved in completing the student’s admissions and registration process.
2.Perform VA certification in accordance with the Department of Veterans Affairs regulation and procedures. Monitors enrollment, scholarships, tuition and fees, graduation, and student academic progress reports.
3.Reviews all financials as they relate to military benefits.
4.Completes VA mandated training at webinars and state and national conferences to maintain mandatory State Certifying Official status.
5.Serves as a liaison and resource for veterans’ affairs; assists in the planning, development and implementation of Veterans Educational program designed to encourage the success and retention of veteran students.
6.Monitors and updates all VA compliance spreadsheets for State Certifying Official Standard Operating Procedures, Veteran Benefit Recipient Dashboard, Orientations Process, Vocational Readiness, and Employment forms.
7.Posts changes in the VA certification portal (VA Once) and trains VA work-studies.
8.Provides services related to daily operations of Veteran Services.
9.Greets and assist students and manages the Veterans email inbox.
10.Provides problem-solving services to benefit veterans involving multiple College departments.
11.Collaborates with ECC Accounts Receivable, Bookstore, Registrars, Financial Aid, Veteran Advisors and VA Debt Management, VA Regional Processing Office, VA Vocational Readiness, and Employment counselors on behalf of veterans.
12.Maintain strict confidentiality and security of staff and student records.
13.Prepare routine, special and ancillary reports, as required.
14.Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.

1.Bachelor’s degree.
2.Demonstrated knowledgeable experience in veterans affairs.
3.Demonstrated knowledge of Banner.
4.Ability to exercise interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with college employees and in providing quality customer service.
5.Excellent interpersonal skills.
6.Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
7.Ability to work in a diverse environment.
8.Three years of experience with Veteran Services.
9.School Certifying Officer (SCO) Certification.

3.Demonstrated knowledge of Banner.
