Library Assistant B (STUDENT/WORKSTUDY)
Job Description
Job Summary
The Frances Willson Thompson Library is looking for several customer service-oriented University of Michigan - Flint students to join our team in Fall 2023. You will be an integral part of the campus community by helping fellow students use the library services and resources as well as being a source of information about campus.

Preference will be given to students who can make at least a one year commitment at their hire date. Preference also will be given to students with Work-Study.
Work Schedule
Approximately 8-12 hours per week, including evening shifts and occasional weekends.
Winter Operating Hours of the Library
The student employee work schedule is set at the beginning of each semester and takes into account scheduled class times. Please include a copy of your "Week at a Glance" class schedule for Winter 2025 and indicate preferred hours and days you can work.
Modes of Work
Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
