Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in general studies, business, or other applicable field preferred.
- Four (4) years of work experience in an office environment with at least one year in an education environment.
- One (1) year of demonstrated work experience with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with faculty, staff, and current and prospective students.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Knowledge of job perceptions for students in the programs.
- Ability to speak with student or community groups.
- Ability to compile and study occupational, educational, and economic information to aid students and employers in making and carrying out educational goals and objectives.
- Ability to develop partnerships with employers, economic development entities, and community organizations.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule to assist faculty and students taking evening classes.
- Ability to design and prepare reports and presentations.
- Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
- Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
- Must be capable of sitting in a stationary position for 50% or more of workday.

Job Concepts
This position is responsible for the administrative coordination for the support and development of programs in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences department within Building E.
Examples of Work
- Provide administrative support at front desks of buildings where AHSS personnel are located, including answering phones, helping students as needed, and assisting faculty with basic tasks.
- Act as communication liaison between the Division Dean and Assistant Dean offices and the division faculty, adjuncts, and staff.
- Schedule appointments for Division Dean and Assistant Dean.
- Make travel arrangements for the Division Dean or Assistant Dean when needed.
- Coordinate outreach programs to encourage enrollment and credential completion with Program Directors, Assistant Dean, and Dean.
- Assist Program Directors as needed with revisions and completion of student curriculum sheets and documentation for graduation.
- Work with Program Directors to monitor student progress towards graduation.
- Advise students for all degree programs within the Division.
- Participate in semester registration events.
- Assist with recruiting efforts for all degree programs within the Division.
- Assist with verification and accuracy of materials for webpages, catalog revisions, course descriptions, program updates, and materials for new degrees.
- Participate in professional development activities and meetings.
- Prepare division academic and nonacademic contracts each semester or as needed.
- Organize and maintain files of division records.
- Collecting and monitoring timesheets for division staff and faculty, including adjuncts.
- Complete Help Desk requests for division property and necessary maintenance.
- Prepare check requests and purchase requisitions as needed.
- Assist with equipment inventory as needed.
- Input fall, spring, winter, and summer teaching schedules, along with course fees, as appropriate, in the college student data system.
- Collaborate with the bookstore for textbook ordering and accuracy.
- Update Master Syllabi for courses as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
