Regional Manager, Innovative Instructional Technology and Learning - West

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Regional Manager on the Innovative Instructional Technology and Learning team who will advance the institution’s proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

JOB SUMMARY
Coordinate, facilitate, and oversee, as appropriate, the implementation of innovation projects, pilots, and initiatives across the District.

Oversee all Curriculum Innovation Center (CIC) labs and Digital Media Centers to foster innovation in teaching and learning, create new programs and revenue sources for the District.

Facilitate the dissemination of innovation throughout the entire HCC district.

Oversees and facilitates the operations of the Teaching Innovation Lab.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Coordinate action by the various units of the college to facilitate innovation processes and strategically target resources toward institutional plans and goals.

Oversee and coordinate programs in Collaboratoriums where applicable.

Align innovation programs at the Colleges with district strategic goals.

Coordinate with external partners to facilitate Innovation Outreach to the community.

Facilitate Innovation Workshop and Seminars throughout the district for faculty, students, and the community.

Hire, supervise, and train the lab and other essential staff for the Centers.

May manage or coordinate projects to include partnerships and grants.

Coordinate implementation of instructional technologies to meet the requirements of new educational initiatives to ensure a successful project, program, or initiative.

Create, implement, maintain, and conduct strategic educational technology plans, administrative and educational technology software training and presentations.

Consult on online instructional platforms.

Conduct pilots and evaluations of instructional technology and learning strategies in meeting college and district educational goals.

Prepare summaries and reports.

Ensure project information, files, and records are accurate and current.

Participate in the writing, management, and implementation of grants.

Manage budgets where appropriate to support the activities of innovation initiatives and grant projects.

Research and make recommendations on educational best practices, instructional resources, educational technologies, multimedia, and other areas where appropriate in order to support teaching and learning.

Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree required
  • 5 years experience in educational technology management and implementation with increasing levels of responsibility to include supervisory/managerial responsibility; including 2 years working with higher education faculty in a technology-related or instructional support area required
  • Higher education, distance education or hybrid teaching experience preferred

Licensing & Certification

  • Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
