Pathway Navigator

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of the Pathway Navigator positions will be to support students who are Concurrently Enrolled (CE) at the Community College of Aurora (CCA), as well as those students who are enrolled at CCA but who are undecided on their program of study. With focus on these populations, the primary goal will be to provide the additional support needed to take these students from enrollment to completion, and into a meaningful career. Each of CCA’s Pathway Navigators will carry a caseload of approximately 200 students, of which it is estimated that 75% of students will be CE high school seniors and 25% will be current CCA students with prior CE credits who remain undecided in their educational pathway. All CCA Pathway Navigators will practice proactive and individualized advising, helping students to understand enrollment, career options, identifying academic programs and pathways, providing information, resources, referral to campus and community resources, and tracking their progress through completion.
The new Pathway Navigator positions are grant funded with support from the Sturm Family Foundation and will help CCA fund these positions over a four-year period. As a result, the Pathway Navigator positions must meet the objectives and goals as established by the college in collaboration with the donor. Annual reporting will be required, and each Pathway Navigator will be responsible for tracking student metrics based on the established goals and objectives. We are targeting a start date of November 10th.
