The Construction Technician is responsible for assisting in the planning, design and execution of construction projects. This role involves working closely with employees and the Physical Plant team to ensure that work orders are completed on time and to the required standards. 

Carpenter is responsible for preventative maintenance on interior and exterior college buildings. The position may include performing occasional tasks within the department as assigned by supervisor or director such as basic plumbing, HVAC, irrigation system repairs, groundskeeping, painting and assisting with general maintenance duties as needed.

Minimum two years on-the-job experience with skills in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of various types of building construction; 2. Ability to ready work from drawings; 3. Drywall finishing and installation; 4. Cabinet building for paint or stain grade; 5. Acoustical ceiling and installation repair; 6. Concrete finishing, masonry, finish work; 7. Welding, glazing, and floor tile installation and repair; 8. Reading instructions for modular furniture and equipment; 9. High School Diploma or GED; 10. Valid Driver License.
